As children, dancers love their classes. They would take class every day after school if at all possible!
They practice steps in the aisles of supermarkets, while brushing their teeth, while waiting for the train or just about anywhere there is a small amount of space at hand.
They work out combinations while lying in bed when they should be sleeping, and resume the moment they wake up. They cannot listen to music without imagining what a dance would feel like paired with it.
Being a dancer informs how many people feed their bodies, how they schedule their time around class, rehearsals and performances, and for some, even how they groom their hair and tailor their appearance in general.
Being a dancer is a full mind-body-spirit endeavor. I hear a lot of dancers (half) joke that they can hardly think about anything else but dance!
